92. Home Free

Ahhh, what a relief. We've all escaped Ed's house intact, and I don't have to draw that basement anymore! Sweet, sweet freedom. Now everything's fine and we can just enjoy a cute fluffy romance comic!

  1. Ha! Don’t we want to know why this town is so weird?! And what is it with the knife swinging women on the hill? The lights there?
Don’t leave us high and dry, please!

    1. Ha ha 😀

No no, everything’s fine now, just forget all that stuff! It’s just a nice, normal town…shh, stop asking questions…. 😉

  2. … so those lights they want to investigate are just Christmas decorations?

    1. Surprise! Amanda has just been living in Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls all along! All that stuff you thought was evil cult activity is really just adorable quirkiness 😀

      1. That’s some twist in the tail 🙂

In other news, Author has a bridge to sell us 🙂

    1. And it’s a very safe, sturdy, normal bridge that is definitely NOT built on a foundation of bones and rot!

      1. Only the finest ghoul-gnawed bones from the Vale of Path supported by Atlach Nacha’s webs. Perfectly safe. I get a strong Fritz Lieber’s “You’re All Alone” vibe. The world has its own horrible pattern which repairs and fills itself in. Only a few people are awake and move under their own power. If there is an Ed shaped hole Ed or something close enough will be fit into place.

        1. Ooh, brr! I love that kind of concept. I’m going to have to look up “You’re All Alone,” I’m not familiar with it and it sounds like the kind of thing I enjoy!

      2. … and Mrs. Tsathoggua, who has faced down nests of poison snakes barefoot and gone into houses to rescue domestic abuse victims, pronounces Ninecrow “Too creepy! Way too creepy!” to read

        1. Mrs. Tsathoggua sounds amazing! Sounds like it’s high praise to be able to creep her out 😉

  4. It just occurred to me… if you’d included a page with the police, we could have heard Ed say “and I would’ve got away with it, if it hadn’t been for you kids” before Cary and Amanda drive off in a hippy-painted van…

    1. But first we needed a scene where they pulled the mask off the ghost haunting the abandoned amusement park and it turned out to be old Ed 🙂

  5. Was looking forward to discovering what was going on the hills!

    1. (Just in case my joking didn’t come across in text…the mystery’s not really over yet! :D)
