Hello friends! I'm SO sorry for the long silence. Worse yet, I just realized that my post explaining that I needed to take a break seems to have disappeared?? I really hope no one has been too worried or upset (I am honestly scared to look at the comments queue).
If you didn't see the mysteriously vanished blog post, let me just explain that I live right where all the gigantic wildfires have been going on in California, and it's made life pretty hellish for nearly two months now. Smoke, fear, being evacuated from my house for weeks...it took everything out of me just to get through each day, and didn't leave any energy for creative work.
Anyway...we finally got to come back to our house (and we had a house to come back to, which we very seriously thought we might not). We're tentatively getting back to normal. It's just a struggle to face the fact that "normal" now means extreme drought and unstoppable wildfires :(
Back to the point: I've managed to get some finished pages built up (along with the mental fortitude to show my face :)
I TRULY do apologize for keeping you waiting so long! As always, I promise the story will NOT be left unfinished. In fact we only have about 50 pages to go... *thunderclap, ominous music*

I’m delighted that you’re back, and more importantly, safe.

as long as you are safe thats all that matters. shit happens and its ok to need and take a break. those who are here because they want to be will understand and still be here. stay safe.

I am so happy you are safe.

So good to hear you’re safe. After you’d mentioned your circumstances, there was naturally some concern when you didn’t show up. I hope your work gives you some routine and a sense of normality again.

Stay safe! All else is secondary.

I was just thinking the other day that I hadn’t gotten updates in a long time and thought I’d have many pages to catch up on, but it was just one or two installments. And now I know why! I’m glad the situation has improved there.
Linda
So sorry for all you folks out there and glad you have your home! Good luck.

He’s got a super secret adults only thing he needs to tell her about the critical medical condition known as “sprained wrist”. It involves a certain teenager tax required by the wendigos that keep the town safe.

I am so happy to hear that you are ok, and your house is as well. even though houses can be replaced, loosing one like that would only add to the stress that you’re already under. glad that you are back with new pages but take all the time you need xo

That explains why this has such a pnw vibe tho.
