OK. Even Sara said the town is beautiful but … it is all as dilapidated as the old school. Main street is full of vacancy and broken windows. The residential places are all boarded up windows and roof tarps. Only the trees/woods seem pretty. But then tree close ups are all scarred and weird too. Like the altar …I guess Sara must be contaminated already. *sigh*
After Amanda's parents divorce, Amanda and her mom relocate to a new town. Amanda's trying to be cooperative about the move, but her mom won't explain why they're there, or even how she heard of the place. As Amanda explores the town and begins to unravel a decades-old disappearance--or more than one--she starts to fear she's in danger too. But as her mom's behavior grows ever more detached and bizarre, will Amanda be able to escape the town's strange pull?
