THE END
I'm kidding, I'm kidding... This would be the moment in a movie where they leave the screen black for an extra long time so you really start to wonder if it's over, though :)Â
Anyway, if you're not too infuriated with the direction this is taking yet, you can still preorder your print copy over on my Etsy shop!Â

Re: “The End” … After following Amanda’s “adventure” for all this time, that would go down as the Worst practical joke of all time, Ms. Dora!!! 🤣

So now she’s damaged her left shoulder as well as her right wrist (I can sympathise; I’m still recovering from two ruptured tendons in mine). And… is that Ed in panel 4?
“The safest place on earth is a mother’s heart”.

I’ve found the title. A few lines earlier, the song reads “She was a beauty in a cage”. Sounds dangerous for Amanda.

Ha, I knew you’d find it 🙂 I was just going to call it “Blackout” at first, and then I realized just how many fitting lyrics are in that whole song. It was hard to pick, but nothing tops “to drink rotten wine from your hands (your fearful hands)”…brr!

I hope this isn’t the actual end, and the author is just messing with us.
I’m not big into the whole drama thing a lot of Asian stuff does where everybody dies at the end, or at least the protagonists, but they’ve wrapped up the story by that point.
But I don’t see this story as being finished at all, not even if nothing is explained or resolved.
Stories, especially horror and mystery genre, don’t need everything explained (except detective genre), but this is clearly incomplete imo.
I’m sure there will be more, unless Dora has given up on it, which I sincerely hope not, but it’s the authors choice, not ours. If Dora has quit, I may not like that choice, but I do support it, people have reasons for doing that.
So here’s hoping there’s more to come, and this is just one really powerful cliffhanger!
(Hey, if we didn’t like this comic, we wouldn’t be reacting like this )

Oh my gosh, no, just a dumb joke! Very sorry to worry you 🙂 I wouldn’t give up this close to the end!
Can’t promise you’ll *love* the end, because personally I’m a fan of endings that don’t tie everything up in a neat bow…I like to leave things a little open to interpretation. But I DO promise I’m not pulling an “everyone dies” or “it’s all just a dream” 🙂
KS
I don’t think you need to worry. In case you didn’t know, Dora’s just completed a Kickstarter to publish Ninecrow as a book, including a preview of volume 2. So I think she’s still got plenty of ideas to come…
KS
Sorry to be picky, but I just noticed that the splint is missing from panel 2.

Not picky at all, I appreciate it! WHY is it so hard for me to keep track of that damn splint XD
