Don't forget we're in the final days of the Kickstarter campaign--just four days to go! Since my last update, we've made more incredible progress and hit our last stretch goal!!
That means we're going to be able to make the softcover and hardcover editions extra special, with all these added features:
-
Premium 130# soft-touch matte laminate covers on the softcover
-
80# gloss interior paper in both editions
-
Sewn-in maroon ribbon bookmark in the hardcover edition
If you're thinking of backing, now's a great time to jump in. There are some benefits that won't be available after the campaign is over--like the Book Two preview PDF! That's included for all backers at the $14 level and above, but won't be available anywhere else after the campaign is over.
Check out my latest update on the project for more details about special add-ons and rewards that aren't going to be available after Friday, like the Custom Black Valley Family Portrait!

Oh no…. Mama maybe it’s not too late to get her and Cary’s family out?
…. Buuuut with the tone so far I’m gonna guess that’s not in the cards

There’s something walking around in her body that answers to her name. But Mama isn’t there any more.

Amanda already hit Ed on the head with a frying pan. She’ll have to find something more original this time.
Presumably Cary will get worried when she doesn’t show up at the bus station, unless of course he’s having the same conversation with his father.

Honey, your Ma is gone. If you can’t slip out knock her upside the head and run like the Devil himself was after you. ‘Cause He is

Shathak and I have been coming up with a soundtrack for this comic:
Get Out of Denver
Hellhound on My Trail
Run For Your Life (Beatles, Seige, Bad Wolves)
Better Run Through the Jungle
Sensing a theme?

And of course: We Gotta get out Of This Place

Nice job hiding Mom’s left hand in the earlier panels. Now I’ll have to go back and see when it changed.
What happened to it? My two ideas for now are (1) Professor Quirrell when Harry touched him, and (2) she’s starting to run out of the uncles’ elixir of youth. Neither of those really seems to fit.
Krishna Jha.
Maybe the place is gradually taking over her?

That last panel… oh god thats scary!

Wow! That hand was startling! Oh my gosh! That was a surprise.
