I want to apologize for the VERY confusing error I made on the last page with Mom's hand! The mangled hand is real. I'm not trying to introduce some wacky new mystery right here in the last few pages :)
Between the crossed-arms pose and working with the page flipped (which I do so I can spot mistakes, but sometimes it creates mistakes when I need to keep things like right and left hands straight), I just got myself mixed up!
I'm so sorry if anyone thought it was some kinda wild new clue. On the other hand (ha), at least now you can be assured I'm really NOT setting up a lame "all just a dream" twist :)

Page 149?!? I am both excited and dreading the conclusion that we’re approaching! While I know Ninecrow’s roots go all the way back to 2020, I didn’t discover Ninecrow until just over a year ago. I look forward each week to see what eerie twists and turns await Amanda. 😬 I know that every great author needs a creativity break … but it will be weird to remove Amanda from my weekly surfing rituals. Our fav author is seriously considering another in the series and I, for one, am thrilled to hear it! 🤞

I don’t know if it’ll be much of a creativity break… Dora’s got to prepare everything for the book, due by the end of the year, and I’m hoping that she’ll also have more time for Crooked Mile.
But yes, it’ll be strange not reading Ninecrow each week. I look forward to the second volume as well.

Thanks for clearing up the question of Mom’s hand.

Thanks for bearing with my frazzled brain goofing up important details, haha!

The way the veil slammed back down is even scarier than the last couple strips

That’s *exactly* the feeling I was going for! I’m so glad that came across for you 🙂
